So how does a mobile massage work? How should I prepare?

(all good questions) Here is a rundown of the mobile process and tips to make it the best experience you have.

Intake Form

When you first book an appointment, you will receive a health history intake form. This form is quite long, so we ask you set aside some time to properly fill it out. Most of the form is check boxes and are only relevant if you have the condition presented.

At the end of the form you will need to accept all attached waivers (the system may require you to open the waivers first, and it does not always like apple products), and sign the form before submitting.

If you have any issues with the form, please contact us and we will help you get it sorted right away or at the beginning of your appointment.

As a side note, this form as mentioned above is sent at the initial appointment, then approximately resent every year.

Filling Out a Form

Procedure

We strive to be on time and will arrive at your door approximately at the time of your appointment. We allocate about an hour for cleaning up at the previous location, closing comments, and transportation. Sometimes things are out of our control and there is a chance we will be there 5-10 minutes early or late. If we are more than 5 minutes late, we will contact you. Never will a late arrival cost you time with your massage.

Upon arrival, you will be asked to take the therapist to the room prepared for treatment. It is best to pick a space that can comfortable fit a 6 by 3.5 foot table with room for the therapist to move around. This space should have neutral light that will not hurt eyes when you turn over, temperature comfortable, and you can even set it up to be like your own spa room.

Your therapist will set up the table, discuss your treatment objectives, wash their hands while providing you privacy to undress to your level of comfort, and then start the treatment.

After treatment, your therapist will wash their hands while providing you privacy to redress. We then sanitize our table, take payment, and provide exercises to supplement in between treatments as needed, clean and pack up our materials, and leave you to enjoy the rest of your day!

Happy at Home

Materials Needed

We provide all tools needed to do our job efficiently. This includes our table, music, intakes and waivers, oil, pillow, cleaner, and so forth. Our staff also wear appropriate personal protective equipment to provide a safe treatment environment.

Things we do not provide that may be requested:
·         A chair or stool to sit on if the treatment requires it
·         A space large enough for our 6x3.5 foot table and adequate working room (a couple of feet around the table)
·         A space to wash our hands and a clean towel
·         A blanket to cover you should the room be on the cooler side

Payment

We offer direct billing with most insurance companies and accept credit, debit, cash, and e-transfer. Insurance companies do not always reimburse the full cost of treatment (in some circumstances, they will not cover the treatment at all - typically due to needing a doctor’s note). Please keep an extra form of payment available in case you need to pay the difference.
